On completion of CertHE Skills for the Workplace, successful learners can progress directly into Level 5 for this degree programme which has a similar flexible delivery style as the Certificate, with it being delivered in discrete modules, sequentially, with face-to-face tuition at a convenient community location. The programme enables students to study management theory and practice, appropriately contextualised in the work environment.
This new programme adds to an existing portfolio in the Faculty of Business and Management and can have a pathway onto an extensive series of postgraduate programmes accessible regionally and via distance education.
Being adapted to the context of the learners, each module is contextualised to the personal experiences the learner has within their workplace.【36†source】 The use of case studies ensures that generic theory can be constantly framed within the workplace context and relevant up-to-date context as per the needs of employers and career progression.
