BA (Hons) Hospitality Management and Leadership with Foundation

Designed for students interested in hospitality and events management, this BA (Hons) Hospitality Management and Leadership course will develop students’ management skills through hospitality and events perspectives, preparing them for current challenges in the sector. The modules cover a wide array of knowledge and skills that is needed by practitioners in these sectors.

This Hospitality Management and Leadership module aims to foster more self-learned research and management reports, that should enhance your CV. Modules are more class based, in the sense that they demand that students apply theory, and critically explore specific issues and subjects. All of this is delivered through a combination of lectures, guest lectures, day field trips, group and individual project work as well as student led seminars. Supportive material will be provided using the LCCA virtual learning environment CANVAS and announcements will also be made on that platform.

Furthermore, this course also promotes the development of skills and competences that will be relevant in their roles as managers of the future to improve employability skills, such as interpersonal and transferable skills. To this end, the course will help the student to identify and analyse relevant methods that can be used in making management decisions across strategic, tactical and operational areas. The course focuses on the needs of business leaders and managers and the conditions of relevance by considering the complex, dynamic and integrated natures of factors that have an impact on management decisions.
